Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our savior

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus Christ came to the world to save you from your sins and reconcile you to God, the Father

Contrary to what you might have heard, Jesus Christ doesn’t condemn sinners, He saves sinners! John 3:17 – For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. So, it doesn’t matter how much bad you’ve done, Jesus Christ doesn’t condemn you, rather He desires to reach you where you are and He is pursuing you with His persistent and unfailing love!

Jesus Christ demonstrated His ultimate love for you through His death on the cross and resurrection

All have sinned! No matter how much of a good person you might think yourself to be, God is absolutely Holy and your self righteousness is like a filthy rag to Him (Isaiah 64:6). In God’s kingdom, due to His holy and just nature, all sin must be paid for by the shedding of blood. Prior to Christ, the old testament folks shed the blood of a lamb without spot nor blemish, to pay for their sins. Then Christ, the son of God without sin (blemish) came and took the place of the spotless lamb once and for all! He suffered and died for us, for you, so that you may live! But that’s not the end, He rose again after three days! During the three days, He fought some major spiritual battles on your behalf, destroying all the works of satan and stripping him of all authority over your life, so that you can be free!

But to receive this freedom, you must make a choice

Salvation has already been made available to you, but you have to receive it by taking some very simple steps. First you have to admit that you have sinned and incapable of saving yourself. Then you have to ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and be your Lord and savior… and there you have it! Simple right? There’s a reason behind this simplicity and that’s because God doesn’t want any of us to ever think that we earned salvation by anything we did. There is no amount of good works that will earn you salvation and freedom; only faith in Jesus Christ will.

If you want to respond to God’s love and make a personal commitment to Christ, repeat the following out loud.

Father, thank you for your love for me. I admit that I have sinned against you and I am sorry. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died on the cross for my sins and resurrected on the third day. Today, I open up the door of my heart and receive Jesus Christ to be my Lord and savior. Thank you for a new life of freedom in you Jesus Christ. Starting from right now, I am a new creature; old things are passed away and all things have become new! Thank you Father for your gift of salvation to me. In Jesus might name. Amen!!

You have just made the best decision of your life ever and heaven is throwing a big party on your behalf right now (Luke 15:10).
